The goal
Fix a slipping transmission without repeating the failure twelve months later.
The truck arrived on a hook with a burnt 68RFE. The rebuild was the easy part — the reason it failed was that a tuned engine had been feeding stock internals for two years. We rebuilt it with the parts that match the engine it actually is.
What came in
- Burnt clutch packs and contaminated fluid throughout
- Factory converter ballooned from sustained torque
- Factory valve body unable to apply adequate line pressure
- No auxiliary cooling on a truck that tows

- Full rebuild with updated friction materials and upgraded pistons
- Triple-disc converter with stall matched to the turbo
- Built valve body calibrated for the truck's actual power
- Auxiliary cooling and a fluid schedule that keeps it alive
